There Is No Tantra Without Mantra

Posted by: | Comments (5)

There is a saying “There is no Tantra without mantra”. Sound has a powerful impact on us, more than we may know and is an important component to tantric practices. While we know that words have the power to influence us in many ways, mantras exert a special influence on our physical, emotional and spiritual bodies.

Here’s how mantras work…

Each of the major chakras in the human body matches a certain number of letters in the Sanskrit alphabet, which makes up the language of Hinduism and the Vedas. The letters from this ancient alphabet are associated to some deity or energy in sound form. Tantra in its traditional form includes the worship of many deities (gods and goddesses) and many magical practices seen in pagan rituals. These deities or energies, when tuned into, vibrate deep within us, stimulating specific energy centers in our bodies, which have various functions. When combined into words or phrases they are what are known as mantras.

You might have heard a few yourselves, while dodging donation requests and flowers, from outlandish looking individuals covered in loincloths or colorful robes, dancing and gleefully chanting “Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna”.

Yet, there are infinite numbers of mantras out there. The most powerful of these energies is the primordial sound ‘Om’. You hear Buddhist monks and Hindus worldwide chanting this sound. It’s believed to be the God-force energy and allows us to reach the highest state of spiritual enlightenment. Personally, I feel that to really appreciate the impact of the sound Om requires a certain refinement of energy, which only really comes with dedication and practice.

The secret to getting the most out of mantras is the correct pronunciation. I chant silently, because I find that energy escapes when do it out loud. Chanting inside my mind during the day allows me to concentrate more on the sensations that these sounds produce on the chakras of my body. While a lot of mantras can be kind of difficult to pronounce, I recommend listening to a few while laying still and observing one’s thoughts. As you continue to listen to them and begin repeating the words inside your mind, their power begins to grow in intensity. It starts to change you.

I invite you to try out some basic mantras that stimulate the 7 major chakras. Repeat each sound many times inside your mind, while focusing on its matching chakra. You can visualize the color associated with it as well, if that helps.

Krim (‘kreem’) Root chakra
Klim (‘kleem’) Sacral Chakra
Hum (‘hoom’) Solar plexus
Hrim (‘hreem’) Heart chakra
Aim (‘eyem’) Throat chakra
Shrim (‘shreem’)Third eye
Om (‘aum’) Crown chakra

There are certain mantras that I swear by. The gayatri mantra is considered “the mother of all mantras” in Hinduism. I find this mantra to dominate all others in that it has immense power in opening us up to our infinite intelligence and awaken self-realization. Not only does it heal us on a physical, mental and spiritual level, it purifies the subtle karmas and acts as a divine protective shield. So if you’re looking for a spiritual awakening and gaining wisdom, this is really THE mantra to learn. It may be kind of complex for beginners, but well worth learning.

You can check to this video of the gayatri mantra and learn the words as you go along. It didn’t take me long as I’ve always been very auditory and proficient with languages.

But, lets not overload you with Sanskrit just yet, because before you get to the Gayatri mantra, there are a couple of simple mantras, if you’re just starting out. If you’re not sure how to pronounce them, you may be able to find them on youtube.

That’s it for now. I know this post was a little different from my usual posts, but hey I’m a writer who has many different personalities…Actually, believe it or not, the style in which i write greatly depends on the mantra I’ve been reciting that day.

Life Purpose & Service

Posted by: | Comments (2)

I sometimes wonder if I am where I am supposed to be. There are times in my life where I feel that i need to be somewhere else, doing something other than what I’m doing, feeling something other than what I’m feeling…

And once I become conscious that I am exactly where I’m supposed to be, a sense of peace envelops me. A joy and a blissfulness. It is a moment of total acceptance. Constantly striving for money, love, prestige etc., takes us away from our natural urges and it’s because we’ve been socially conditioned that we are not acceptable the way we are. So we strive to improve ourselves, aim for higher grounds and make our mark in the world.

There are a lot of people who are so afraid that if they haven’t done things to change the world; fought for a cause, healed the sick, transferred their knowledge to others, that somehow their lives have gone to waste.

And we are conditioned to believe that our life purpose is to serve other people. However, let me point out that there is a difference when we are serving others because we feel that “we have to”, as opposed to serving others because we truly want to and feel a sense of benevolence in our hearts.

There is a part of us that is afraid that if we don’t offer our seat to an old person, or give some spare change to the beggar on the street, that somehow God will frown upon us or that we will be afflicted with bad karma. Either that, or we are hoping our actions will someday be rewarded. I say that you cannot serve the needs of others, if you have not first taken care of your own needs. If you don’t love yourself and aren’t in harmony with your nature, how can you possibly offer anything of value to another person?

After all, when you go deep inside yourself and become in tune with your natural self, you begin to resonate an energy that can consciously or unconsciously heal other people. Just your mere presence transmits a light into their lives. It takes them away from their grim reality even if it is only momentary. Your energy is transferred to them and they begin to feel what it is like to be in harmony with themselves.

And, if you have a couple of techniques and words of advice to offer them, in addition, so that they too can learn to achieve higher states consciousness, then I feel that you have truly served humanity…

The Benefits Of White Tiger Tantra

Posted by: | Comments (0)

As a practitioner of White Tiger Tantra, I’ve often been asked by women and couples, what are the benefits of incorporating tantra or tantric massage into their love lives.

Well, for a variety of reasons, but because there are so many different forms of tantra out there, I’ll focus on White Tiger Tantra specifically.

The Benefits Of White Tiger Tantra

1. Improves Female Sexual Health
This means that a lot of problems that woman are afflicted with due to impoverished sex lives, such as female sexual disorders, menstrual cramps, incontinence, depression and anxiety, can rapidly be resolved through regular tantric massage.

2. Releases Stress & Tension

Removing stress and tension in a woman’s body, allows for sexual energy to flow more freely. By building up sexual energy for prolonged periods of time our brain chemistry begins to change as well. We start to produce more endorphins, serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin. These are the chemicals that are known as “The cocktail of love”, which can literally wash away symptoms of depression, PMS and anxiety.

3. Leads To Full Body Orgasms
As the majority of women have localized genital orgasms, sexual energy remains trapped in the lower chakras, which can feel very unsatisfying on many levels. White Tiger Tantra massage techniques are powerful in helping pierce through the chakras, drawing energy up to the heart and through the higher energy centers, leading to full body orgasms and female ejaculation.

4. Rejuvenates The Body
Tantra can have an awesomely rejuvenating effect on the body, mind and spirit. As depression is wiped away, it can take years off the of the face and bring back mental clarity. My experience with White Tiger Tantra, has proven that it is THE fountain of youth. The emotions that we carry around for years become etched in our faces as we grow older…gravity isn’t the only player. For example, people who are cruel and often speak ill of others have lips that go thin over time. Frown lines inevitably develop on the faces of those who have held onto a lot of anger over the years. Releasing the trapped emotions in the body through tantric massage then becomes much like peeling the skins of an onion…revealing one’s shiny and bright core.

5. Improves Intimacy
Great sex is important to sustaining intimate connections and we naturally want to be around people who can help amplify positive states in us. When practicing with a partner, White Tiger Tantra can awaken and amplify a woman’s sensuality and sexuality very powerfully…opening her up to becoming more receptive to giving and receiving love.

For those of you who are thinking about integrating tantra into your love lives, I hope this brief article about the benefits of White Tiger Tantra was somewhat helpful and informative.

Much Love,

Women Awakened

The Battle Of The Sexes Must End!

Posted by: | Comments (10)

I don’t know about you, but it makes me feel very uncomfortable and downright pissed off, when I’m sitting and enjoying a pleasant lunch with my female companions, when suddenly someone blurts out “I hate men”, “all men are pigs”, “men are cheaters” etc.

or…my favorite one is “why can’t men be more like…”

…Like what?

Like WOMEN?!?

Are you kidding me? That’s the PROBLEM! While the rise of feminism was an asset in many ways, for creating new opportunities for women in the workforce, i fear that it has created a demasculinization of men in our society.

And I suspect that the rise of effeminate men, has developed as a response to the female pursuit of the illusion we call “equality”…a way for men to accommodate women, so that they themselves don’t lose their most valuable source of pleasure…

While it is unfortunate that women have historically gone through the many perils that undermined their value in society, I personally do not feel that my sex is a determinant of my success in life, in any way. The only thing that will ever stop me from breaking through the glass ceiling would be my own beliefs about what I can or cannot do. Plain and simple.

What about when it comes to relationships? I meet countless numbers of women who talk about how men mistreat women, yet they themselves address their male partners with the same respect, as the family dog. Just look at commercials and you’ll find nothing but dumb and incompetent men “running into glass doors, trying in vain to outsmart an air freshener, eating the inedible or falling down for no reason whatsoever”, while self-righteous, independent and disenchanted women, roll their eyes…A look that says “See? I told ya so!”

Need a visual? Here’s one for your viewing disgust. lol.

So, when is this passive aggressive feminist retaliation going to END, in our society? When ALL men are castrated?

Whatever happened to just being human?

Glad to have taken this off my chest. Fortunately for me, I have the honor of being in a relationship with a man who has not been tainted and bent out of his masculine shape, by the uproar of women, unjustly treated.

He knows who he is and where he is going…the profile of a leader and to me, the ultimate male companion. One whom, I would not hesitate for a minute to follow, because it is in my feminine nature to do so.

Thank you for reading and I hope this stimulates much debate.

Healing You Is Healing Me

Posted by: | Comments (3)

In many systems of magick, it is believed that what we put out, comes back to us four-fold. It’s one of the first spiritual lessons I learned and one that I’m continuously mindful of implementing in my life.

Through our karmic ties, when transmitting negative thoughts and words about a person or people, we bind our energy to them and it returns to us, multiplying as we continue to entertain negative patterns of thought …That is, until we take the time and the time that we have, to unconsciously heal that part of us that has created them, inside our minds.

Strange concept? It’s quite simple really…

The next time you feel yourself struggling with anger directed towards someone, close your eyes and begin to focus on your breathing. If you find your thoughts going hither and thither, simply allow them to flow as they will without judging, while you remain a neutral observer. Thoughts and emotions have a tendency of settling when we quit resisting or trying to control them.

Once you’ve quieted down…that part of you that was feeling unsettled, imagine in your mind’s eye, standing before you, a person with whom you feel you might be carrying inside you, the burdensome energy of unresolved conflict.

If you’ve harbored a lot of negative emotions towards this individual, you may…start to notice as they rise within you…Allowing any emotions that you feel to float up to the surface is essential to having them cleared and resolved. You may feel some tense areas inside your body. Notice where you feel them. Many people experience a tightening in their solar plexus and heart chakra. There are usually 2 or 3 spots where one will feel it.

Begin to have a conversation in your mind with this individual. This is your chance to really tell them how you feel, allowing them to answer you in whatever way you might imagine. When you feel ready to free yourself of this person’s energy, ask them if it would be alright for the both of you to be healed…Wait for an answer…. If it is “no”, then continue your internal dialogue until you have both agreed to release each other.

Now…Imagine above you is pool of bright blue healing light…As you draw this light through your crown, allow it to fill your entire body…from the top of your head, down to the tips of your toes…spreading everywhere, starting anywhere…moving through every cell and strand of your DNA, until it begins to spill from your heart…like an energy chord or tube, attaching to the other person…filling them with your blue light, until they are also overflowing with healing energy.

When you feel that the both of you are healed, place your right hand over your heart and left hand on top…detaching the energy that bound you to the other person.

Then, slowly, inhale and focus on the belly. Exhale and focus on the top of the head, repeating this breath 4 times. Inhale a 5th time, holding your breath for a few seconds and as you exhale, slowly open your eyes and feel that energy flood into your heart…spreading through your entire body.

Rest your hands and then take a moment to notice the new sensations. You may find a different feeling inside you that wasn’t there before. When noticed, honor it and say “thank you”.

Now…go back and think about that same person that you were in conflict with and notice if the feelings have changed. If you still feel negative emotions towards this person, repeat the process over again. Practicing this exercise many times over, going through ever individual in your life, who may have hurt you or betrayed you in some way, will generate a radiant energy inside that will be multiplied exponentially, each and every time you heal them and yourself.

Then you’ll really know what it feels like to be running your own energy, instead of someone else’s.

Tantra Temple Of Oneness

Posted by: | Comments (2)

This beautiful and moving prose written by Steve P, founder of White Tiger Tantra, was well worth the effort of transcribing, so that I could share it with you. I hope it will resonate with your heart and soul, as it did with mine.

As the beings of light traverse the element of space and time, they arrive at the tantric temple of oneness, that thin line between the yin and yang energy, where they can float beyond the boundaries of their earth bodies into a union of light and love, a vortex of the highest order…if you will.

Enter the temple with a pureness of heart that is empty of expectations, hidden agendas or judgments. A union of less is greatly paled with the mundane and superficial energy (of the second chakra) that engulfs the deceitful, the unfaithful and the untrue with an insatiable thirst, that leaves them empty, lost and lusting…for they are the unsatisfied…they are the lonesome in a crowd…they are afraid to be alone or quiet with the reflections of themselves.

Enter the temple with light and love in the knowing that what you bring into this vortex will be amplified…in this union of unconditional love. The beings of light have created a sense of oneness with each other…a child so to speak…that is stimulated and grows stronger everyday…when they see each other…or when they hear their soul mates voice, they feel a connection at the heart and solar plexus…That begins to to glow and fill their body with a wonderful feeling, from head to toe…starting anywhere, going out into the future, way out into the future, looking back onto now as having been the…start to feel the energy double, triple, quadruple as it flows through your body, mind and spirit.

As they journey to drunk the nectar of life, from the well spring of love that is there to revitalize and stimulate them to permeate them to the core with a sense of direction, purpose and growth of this oneness.

Ahh…but to laugh the guiltless laugh, shamelessly without apprehension, as the laughter like that of a child drown their sighs and superficial concerns that flow to the wayside on the swelling of passion, ecstasy and love that open the floodgates that flow like a river (you can’t hold the river….of love….let it flow) into the ocean waves goodbye to the old way of knowing and being with each other in new ways, now & into the future…growing & glowing with this bond of each other for they are now drunk on & with each other in this tantric union of oneness & knowing each other as one’s self.

Laughter Can Heal A Wounded Heart!

Posted by: | Comments (2)

People who walk around with unresolved heartbreak or heartache are at a greater risk of heart disease, heart attacks and stroke, according to Dr. Mimi Guarnieri, cardiologist and author of “The Heart Speaks”. She discovered that it made no difference if her patients were in optimal physical condition or not. What she uncovered was a pattern of grief and traumas of the heart, that involved anything from the devastating loss of a child to a betrayal of the heart, in a relationship.

Our emotional responses are learned by our past experiences and based on our set of beliefs that create our realty. Realities are meant to shift. When people live a life of the mundane, they only chose to embrace certain concepts or ideas but as we know, concepts and ideas are like a river or a stream. When you dam it up and stop its flowing motion, it will stagnate and quite often become polluted, transmutating into another form, often that of a veritable physical illness.

Grief and betrayal can literally weigh down on a person’s heart. Energy begins to stagnate around the heart center and begins to draw from the other chakras, creating a disharmony and imbalance in one’s energetic field, as well internal blockages, often leading to dis-ease of the mind, body and spirit.

So remember, no matter what you do with your heartbreak, exquisite sex or great laughter can offer some relief by opening up the parasympathetic nervous system, which increases the flow of endorphins. It’s why we love to be around people who amplify these states naturally in us. So let me share a piece of footage that I hope brings laughter, not only to your belly, but also to your heart, to help resolve any unsettled issues. He’s kind of silly, but I hope you guys enjoy it just the same.

LOL. :)

When you learn to surrender to the moment, you dissolve the ego and enter into what is called the “japa” or the zen state of “now”. A place where all thoughts of the future of the past are absent, allowing us to cross the bridge that leads to opening the gateways of sensual ecstasy.

And in order to open up to a more sensual way of being, my mentor has taught me that the key lies in releasing the right kinds of chemicals in our body, that which he calls “the cocktail of love”. Then you enter into a zen state where you can become intoxicated on your natural mind-body chemistry.

When people make love from a place of “I have to”, they come from their sympathetic nervous system, which fills them with adrenaline and fear-based emotions that inhibit the serotonin-reuptake receptors and the chemicals that induce feelings of love and bonding. Sexual energy stays trapped in the first and second chakra, draining and engulfing them with an insatiable thirst, leaving them empty, lost and lusting.

When you make love from a place of “I get to”, or “I’m looking forward to this” the parasympathetic nervous system is activated and floods the body with oxytocin, serotonin, dopamine and other calm chemicals that make up “the cocktail of love”. The higher chakras begin to open up, allowing for a more sensual energy to enter into the heart, that is empty of expectations, hidden agendas or judgments.

My mentor talks about how we’ve lost the apprenticeship of love in our culture and now we’re a culture that seeks self-gratification through frequent ejaculation. When we are busy satisfying only our lower animal natures, we miss out on a spiritual side to our sensuality that only comes to those who are willing to surrender their controlling ego.

He claims that if we must venture into control, atleast understand the higher level of control, which is self-control. And once one surrenders to the self-control, they realize not only the illusion to control was, but also the underlying motivation for that illusion. When one releases this illusion its what my teacher calls entering into and through a moment of epiphany. A sense of clarity.

As I write this with sensual energy careening through my entire body, after a White Tiger Tantra massage, my words can only convey so much of my experience. An experience that fills me with joy and ecstasy that causes me to smile…a full body smile, which only comes when one has surrendered to oneself.

Till next time.
